ALEX KIRUNGI...........GONE SO SOON

I have been putting this off for quite awhile now, knowing that if I put to paper who he was to me and i'm sure sooooo many other people and essentially immortalise my best friend on the internet it will like a final confirmation that he is really gone.
Any how....here goes nothing;
this piece is not a sob story but rather a celebration of a life well lived
for some reason he thought I had a gift of writing, and he did promise that I would write his biography so I guess this is start.

He was posted this poem an anonymous poet on Facebook and as I read through it after finding out about his death, I realized that this captured his very essence;

Would I do it better?

The bible is filled with characters that are flawed and all wonderfully human..... But us as humans are often prone to judge.....(don't roll your eyes you know what you do)
We have the tendency to look at a situation or a decision that someone made and think "I could have done that better"
Sometimes, maybe we could have done it better but most times we probably would have made the same mistake over and over again.

Let's face it, we all at one point, thought that we could have better than Peter who denied Jesus, but put the same position wouldn't you vehemently deny Jesus, wouldn't you..................(think about that...)
Mable, the disciple?????

BRING BACK OUR GIRLS

Boko Haram...........first of all, who are you? What the hell are you thinking taking these poor girls? what is your fight with these poor innocent girls? What did they even do to you
as you can tell i'm maaaaad!!!!! No, i am not Nigerian, I am Ugandan but i can feel the pain of the parents and family of these girls.
These girls are just innocent bystanders in a war that has absolutely nothing to do with them........but has everything to do with promoting personal agenda.
Bring them back you Terrorist!!!!!!!!!
the Rock should go and whoop Boko's ass

public transport???..............bleh!!!!

Today, i got a lift from a total stranger, isn't that awesome? I did a little dance, a little jiggle because I didn't have to worry about public transport, well at least not till today evening, when i have to use the very same taxis I'm about to bash to go back home, thank God they don't read blogs........or do they??!??. Have i ever mentioned how much i hate public transport? Well i DO and i hate it with the same kind of passion i have for food (yes i love to eat, but that's a story for another day).........

(to parallel Shakespeare's play 'the Taming of a shrew') How do I loathe thee (in this case Ugandan taxis)? Let me count the ways.............
