Luuuuuurve

Hello beautiful People........
Its been awhile and no excuses this time, plain truth is, I've just been lazy, a lazy lazy lazy bum. However I am back and focused, Scout's Honor...
Today I want to talk about luuuuurve (obugaalo, akululu, fireworks and all that).
I know the 'appropriate' time to write about this would have been in February, the purported the month of love. However, I am not a believer in that crap.
So now that February 2014 is a distant memory, i can comfortably post something on this very interesting and rather wide subject and I know I am not going to be able to exhaust it.
It is no secret that i hate Valentine's day.I HATE VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!! HATE HATE HATE VALENTINE'S DAY (in Caps lock, bold and everything). There, i said it.
Many would argue that since I'm a single gal, I am therefore just bitter and I have not yet experienced the magic of Valentine's day. Well to those people I say, I do not care what you think.............well may be i do,a little and that's  why I'm endeavouring to explain myself.........

Contrary to popular belief, i don't hate love, in fact, i love love, i mean how can i hate the very essence of who God is. I hate the way that love is made out to be these days, though, especially this whole stupid craze of Valentine's day.
THE WAY LOVE IS THESE DAYS

This all hoopla of  'the month of love' manya the day of love, if love is confined to just one day, what happens to the other 364 days of the year?
I admire st.Valentine, that guy was brave for doing what he did. But i doubt that what is going on today is what he had in mind all those years ago.
Now before you go ahead and lynch me or throw tar on me, let me explain why...................
love is a beautiful thing..........and there are way too many descriptions and definitions of love but the Bible describes and defines love the best way:

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 says;
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.''
 Now isn't this just beautiful!!!!!!
If you think you are in love and your love is not like what is mentioned above, rethink that relationship.

Tamale Mirundi said it best for me:
"I am not a fool to celebrate things I do not understand. What is Valentine’s Day? Is it part of African culture? This day was created by the Whites to sell their products. How can an old man like me be seen buying flowers and wearing a red shirt, all in the name of love? If Europeans are perfect when it comes to celebrating love, why is it that they have high levels of marriage break-ups? Now, some foolish Ugandans will spend beyond their earnings in order to be part of the day. On that day, I will be finalizing writing the last chapter of my book."

enough said
have an awesome day
